Quinolone Vigilance Foundation
The Quinolone Vigilance Foundation is a non-profit, charitable foundation that funds research on fluoroquinolone toxicity and helps raise awareness about their dangers among patients and medical professionals. We foster, initiate, and direct fundamental research to discover underlying toxicity mechanisms, advocate for patients who have been harmed by dangerous fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as Levaquin, Cipro, and Avelox, and educate doctors so a safer alternative can be prescribed to patients. This class of antibiotics are associated with very severe adverse reactions including tendon ruptures, peripheral neuropathy, neurological dysfunction, and neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s, ALS, and Alzheimers, and many other adverse reactions. We raise awareness about the extreme risk for injury, disability, and death through advocacy, education, and research. We have Ambassadors in several states and in 8 countries.
